The city will be host to the largest religious congregation in over three decades Ashara Mubaraka are the first 10 days of Moharram, that mark the martyrdom of Imam Husain AS, grandson of Prophet Mohammed SAW, that took place fourteen centuries ago. This is a very important religious and spiritual event in the Dawoodi Bohra Calendar. Each year, Dawoodi Bohras across the world observe Ashara Mubaraka by attending religious sermons, mourning the tragedy of Karbala and remembering the supreme sacrifice of Imam Husain AS. Imam Husain AS refused to pledge allegiance to Yazeed, a tyrannical ruler who had transgressed all that Islam stood for and had established a reign of oppression after coming to power. The bridge, which crossed part of the Tinau River in the city of Butwal, was completely destroyed. In the video, people on the bank whistle and wave to warn people on the other side of the potential collapse. According to the Himalayan Times, a police team was attempting to rescue people on the bank of the river when the bridge collapsed. Further heavy rainfall has been observed in various parts of  the country over the last 48 hours. The country has already  experienced severe flooding in several areas, including the  counties.
